As we enter the third decade of 21st century, much-heralded threat climate change has become a reality whose effects not only read and hear about daily but also experience in raft seen unseen ways our local communities. Morton (2012) called unequivocally for broader vision music education that includes embraces cross-curricular emphasis on ecological social justice. In particular, she challenges (and arts general) to participate provision eco-aesthetic experiences activities, which foster participation reflection upon human inter-dependency. this article, I will reflect my as teacher West Auckland enviroschool lessons learned from children influenced supported development music-making activities connected with their environmental concerns. Then, taking into account work relevant contemporary musicians/composers educators, offer some suggestions eco-literate pedagogical practices (Shevock, 2018) teachers century Aotearoa New Zealand.
